Stanley was president of the Texas Public Finance Authority and a member of the Board of Visitors of the Air University of the United States Air Force. In 2011, former President Barack Obama appointed him to the Council of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In addition, he is the founder of Stanley Law Group.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my country,” Stanley said in a statement, according to The Dallas Morning News portal. And he added: “If confirmed, I hope to build an even stronger relationship between the United States and Argentina.”
