That’s right people, it’s WEDNESDAY. We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting your live music fix all week, so this time we’re skipping the irrelevant albeit topical quips and abruptly moving on like Rex Tillerson!
Wednesday March 14
Yolanda Festival 14.03.18
Up-and-comer record label Yolanda Festival is back at it again, showcasing a selection of the finest bands in the ever-growing, ever-buzzing Buenos Aires indie scene. This time, local staples Marina Fages and Las Ligas Menores share the stage with youngins Simón Poxyran (of Perras on the Beach fame) and indie wunderkind Tani.

El Ciclope Dorado
Things are about to get real weird at El Cíclope Dorado. Experimental electronic artists Black Pope Francis, Shis Unusual, Electric Citizen, and El Artista Desconocido will be playing live music shows that will surely be obscure and intriguing in equal doses, delighting the snobbiest of ears and upsetting the neighbors.

Psychedelic rock band Los Páramos are presenting their second LP, “Retrato”, joined by Los Chícharos, and alternative rock act Los Traumas. There will also be record and book stands, and art expos by AUEIO, Gato Misántropo Ediciones, and Artexto.

Hyperculte (Suiza) / Fervors at una.casa – 17·3
Self-defined as “a minimalist transpop prekraut postdisco duo band,” Hyperculte creates music that connects the dots between German post war experimental rock and the relentless motorik thrust of early Stereolab. The duo, comprised of Simone Aubert (percussion and vocals) and Vincent Bertholet (upright bass, vocals) will be playing an intense and hypnotic live show at una.casa in San Telmo. Opening duties will be executed by my band Fervors (sorry, not sorry) and experimental ambient project Zenker.
9 PM | una.casa | PM for Address
Concert series Anomalía is back for a thirteenth hurrah, defying all superstitions to the irregular beat of cerebral and complex music. Math rockers Hungría (with visuals courtesy of Milagro de Catamarca), post-rock outfit YON, and experimental jazz rock ensemble TOTS will all be playing live at Espacio Cultural Mi Casa, because even us music nerds need to start off the week with the right foot.
11 PM | AR $130 | Espacio Cultural Mi Casa | Aguero 787
Festivalien Indie !!! 17 / 03 en Pomo
Festivalien Indie is among us, and we can’t wait to get abducted by the music. Playing live will be new age-y dream pop outfit Acuario Cristal, math rockers haikus, casual lo-fi indie rockers Cine Jogging, and glimmery post-punk band Las Mentiras, while DJ Cashu will be fulfilling turntable duties to keep the party going all night.
10 PM | AR $100 | POMO, Distrito de arte | Pasaje Santa Rosa 5157
A quick reminder. We want to make sure we cover as much material as possible each week; but with a scene this active, a lot can slip through the cracks. So, in our effort to remain on top of things, we’ve set up an e-mail address where you – that’s right, you, dear reader – can submit your own suggestions for shows for us to cover. If you have a gig coming up, or you know of one, we want to hear about it! Hit us up at firstname.lastname@example.org.
